Located on the northern beaches of Sydney, nestled above the cliffs edge overlooking the picturesque coast this stunning home encapsulates the natural environment and all of its elements.

Entering the home through the custom blackbutt door we are immediately consumed by the beauty of the view and the simplicity of the design. A modern bohemian vibe has influenced the styling and materials chosen, incorporating a palette of glass, stone and natural timbers. There is a seamless integration between the internal and external spaces, adding to the relaxed feel and laid-back atmosphere.

The facade is lined with Berrimah natural stone and blackbutt battens, which will age naturally over time in harmony with the surrounding landscape. Berrimah has also been used as the fireplacesurround in the family room, further emphasizing the relationship between the exterior and interior of the home. Natural stone tiles and custom blackbutt vanities in the bathrooms also add to the earthy feel.

The vast windows throughout make the most of the stunning views while intelligent design invites the coastal breeze. Designer Jeremy McCulla from Urban Harmony Design has ensured that the living areas of the home make the most of the northerly aspect, whilst also utilizing the pool to reflect abundant natural light throughout the home. The superb open plan layout seamlessly connects the multiple levels of the home, with the open staircase ensuring that the views remain uninterrupted.

The kitchen beckons the fussiest cook, incorporating slick Miele appliances throughout, Dolomite super white benchtops, v-groove panelling and blackbutt cabinetry to compliment the timber flooring.

This resort style family home also considers its younger occupants, with a chic games room, a mud room to reduce the clutter and a pool complete with an underwater glass viewing window to the home.

A home of this scale in such a beautiful location deserves multiple entertaining spaces, and they don’t come better than the backyard fire pit and modern wet bar. There is also a fully equipped gym and media room.

The home limits its environmental impact through solar passive design and ventilation in conjunction with photo voltaic power generation and double-glazed windows. Intelligent home automation and programming ensures that the home operates efficiently, with minimal wastage of resources.

Having built many homes throughout Sydney’s northern beaches, Andrew Gremmo from Gremmo Homes was particularly excited by the opportunity that this site presented “The location of this home is incredible. After our original meeting with the owners, we knew that they had a very clear vision of what they wanted to achieve. As the design of the home came together, we were certain that this would become an amazing project – and it has”.

“Harsh Australian coastal conditions as well as a challenging geotechnical landscape have all been considered in the engineering and construction of this home. Exposure grade brickwork and ultra-steel roofing will ensure that this home can withstand the elements for many years to come. More importantly, the owners are just as ecstatic as we are with the completed home”.

Integrated design, environmental consideration and attention to detail has ensured that this stunning new home is now a landmark of the Turimetta Headland where it stands, and will remain so for many years to come.
